Message From Our CEO, Sarah Collins

I would like to shine a light on the dedicated professionals supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities every day. These are our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who consistently show up every day to make a difference.

Our DSPs strive to support people to live a fuller life — learning skills, building friendships and engaging in their communities. They provide crucial training and supports in life skills, employment, exercise, communication, and so much more.

DSPs are a lifeline —As social distancing alters all our lives in new ways each day, we have the deepest gratitude for our DSPs who continue coming to work to help those with intellectual and developmental disabilities stay safe and healthy. This isn’t a “work-from-home” proposition.

Maybe you know someone who is looking to make a difference in the lives of others—someone who wants to find what matters most. If so, please send them our way. We are always looking for great people who want to make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Please apply on our website soaspire.org and click Career Opportunities.

Meet Brittany Bunting, our new

Residential Director

Southern Oregon Aspire welcomes Brittany Bunting as the new Residential Director! Brittany started as a Direct Support Professional at a 24-hour residential home. Since then, she has transitioned into a number of positions within the organization. Many of Brittany’s relatives worked for Southern Oregon Aspire (back then known as SPARC/Stepping Stone). As a young child, Brittany remembers interacting with people her stepmom supported. This had a profound influence on Brittany and when Brittany started with Aspire in 2009, she herself began supporting those same individuals. Brittany’s experiences have given her a wealth of knowledge and understanding to help her lead Aspire’s Residential programs and provide quality support to those we serve. Congratulations Brittany!
